Rosemarie and Claudio had some friends over and prepared an italian style meal around the plate called "Tortelli di zucca", a traditional italian recipe coming from the region around Mantova, a small city in northern Italy, somewhere between Milano and Venice in the valley of the river Po. Tortelli are big raviolis with a filling made mostly of pumpkin ("zucca" in italian) and other ingrediaents. Rosemarie's grandmother Bice taught her how to prepare this dish including how to hand roll the dough. This time to save time they used a machine to roll the dough. The rolling pin shown at the end is the original one her grandma used. Many thanks to their friend K. for creating this video! This dish and all other dishes they prepared were vegetarian. Rosemarie, a vegetarian cook and Ayurveda health consultant, were responsible for all of them.
