Pumpkin Patch Blog: Patch Animals

Patch Animals
One of the joys of visiting a farm is the animal life.  From dogs to donkeys and cats to piglets, adorable scenes abound.  Many pumpkin patches have been sharing pictures of their animals and we wanted to share some of them with you, along with the latest patch animal news.

Hamlet has been named!  The adorable piglet at Country Pumpkins in Dry Ridge, Kentucky was named via contest with 90 entries!  There is a video of Hamlet on their Facebook page.

It was fun to submit name entries from our community.  When we shared the contest, several people posted suggestions, so we forwarded them to Country Pumpkins.  Thanks to everyone who suggested names!

Reports of new animals continue to be accompanied by adorable videos.  At Tim's Pumpkin Patch in Marietta, New York, twins were born.

Kittens were recently born at Tim's Pumpkin Patch and are adorable... Mama looks a little tired, but proud.

McCall's Pumpkin Patch in Moriarty, New Mexico has a new addition to the family, too... but it's not like the others.  It's a mechanical bucking bull!  They're having a contest to name him.  Any good ideas?  Let us know if you win.

Do you think there's any relation to Bessie at Pahl's Pumpkin Patch in Buckley, Michigan?  She's looking mighty spiffy, by the way.

It looks like we'll have more animal updates once the petting zoos open and pig races begin!  Be sure to post pictures on our Facebook page, tag Pumpkin Patch in your photos or link them from the comments here, so we can share them with the Pumpkin Patch community.
